Royal couple wedding rings are some of the most photographed and most copied styles. Each new royal engagement makes hearts flutter with excitement over the new style of ring. The latest three stone style rings are no exception! We’ve gathered some of the most popular royal couple matching jewelry to show you how you can get this look.

Three stone silhouette matching couple necklaces

The latest royal three stone engagement rings have a Cushion Cut center stone and two Round Cut side stones. The traditional style is three Round cut stones. We love the way this design mixes it up with an unusual cut.

Kate, the Duchess, now wears the ring that was originally worn by Diana. A classic engagement look is an Oval-cut sapphire with a starburst style halo surrounding it. However, you can personalize the look to suit your taste by choosing another shape or halo design.

Grace Kelly’s engagement ring instantly became a classic after she became Princess Grace. This simple Emerald cut ring, with its center stone flanked two baguette-cut accents, is still very popular due to its timeless elegance. To personalize the look, choose a center stone with a different shape.

The Queen’s ring has a large center stone, with accent stones flanking it on each side. The Queen has worn the ring since 1946. (Fun Fact: The wedding band of the Queen is made out of Welsh gold. It is customary for the royal family.

What is a Carat? A guide to understanding diamond carats

Does this mean that every diamond is the best diamond? Or is there one diamond which is even better than all others? This week, we will be discussing the carat of diamonds and which one is best. Find out what is the best carat of diamond for you.

Carats are an important factor in determining the value of any diamond. What is a diamond’s carat, what does it mean, and what is the best carat to buy?

What is Carat

It is not the size of a stone that determines its carat, but rather its weight. A carat is equal to 200 milligrams. So, a 1 carat diamond weighs 200 milligrams. A carat can also be subdivided into 100 points so that gemologists can grade a diamond with extreme accuracy. You will see decimals in diamond carats. As an example, a diamond that weighs 1.73 carats is closer to a 2 carat diamond in terms of size and weight than a diamond that weighs 1 carat.

It is important to know the carat of a diamond. Carat is one of the four Cs that are used to evaluate a diamond.

Carat Weight & Prices

What is the price of a 2-carat diamond, and a 3-carat diamond? Diamonds have a high value, and they become more valuable as the carat increases. Diamonds are more valuable as they get larger because smaller diamonds are in greater supply. Diamonds are not polished, so they can be cut into the perfect shapes and sparkling diamonds found in jewelry. These stones were formed beneath the surface of the earth over hundreds if not even thousands of year. Carat-sized diamonds are created from larger raw diamonds that are rarer.

The price of a stone will rise proportionally with its carat size. A one-carat is worth $2000. A 2-carat is $4000. And a 3-carat is $8000. But this is not true. Rarity increases as carat weight does, causing the price to rise exponentially.

While a 1-carat stone can cost anywhere from $2,000 up to $20,000, a 2 carat diamond could cost anywhere from $8,000 up to $50,000 and a 3 carat diamond anywhere between $30 and $150,000. The price of diamonds is determined primarily by its size, weight and cut. This can depend on whether or not you buy a laboratory-grown diamond at an alternative diamond store, or a natural diamond in an old-fashioned jeweler.
