  Where to get a genuine Optima battery in Abu Dhabi?

  So my off-roader has been sitting in the garage for the past couple of weeks while I’ve been traveling, and when I got back yesterday and tried to fire it up, absolutely nothing happened – no lights, no radio, just complete silence which is pretty frustrating given how much I paid for this battery a couple of years ago. I’ve been running an Optima Yellow Top because I do a fair bit of desert driving and I need something that can handle the winch and the extra lights without crapping out on me, and honestly it’s been brilliant up until now, but I guess everything has a lifespan and it’s finally time for a replacement. The tricky part is finding a place in Abu Dhabi that actually stocks genuine Optimas and doesn’t try to palm me off with some knockoff that looks similar but won’t last five minutes in the summer heat. I’ve called a few shops and half of them didn’t even know what I was talking about, which isn’t exactly reassuring when you’re dealing with a specialist battery like this. I saw a mention of a Leading Optima battery supplier in Abu Dhabi when I was searching online and it sounded promising, but I’m always a bit sceptical about trusting random listings without some proper validation from people who’ve actually used them. Has anyone here bought an Optima in Abu Dhabi recently and can recommend a shop that actually knows what they’re doing and won’t charge a ridiculous markup? I’m particularly keen to know if they had the right model in stock for my application and whether they could confirm it was genuine rather than a fake, because I’ve heard there are plenty of counterfeits floating around and I really don’t want to get stung. Any honest recommendations from fellow off-roaders would be massively appreciated right now.
