Finally found a garage that understands Jeeps in ICAD
I’ve been meaning to write this for a while because I know there are plenty of other Jeep owners out there who’ve probably had the same struggles I’ve had finding a workshop that actually knows what they’re doing. I work out in the ICAD area and for months I was driving all the way across town to get my Wrangler serviced because I just didn’t trust any of the local places, but the travel time was getting ridiculous and I was spending half my day off just dropping off and picking up the car. A colleague finally convinced me to try a place he’d been using, and honestly I wish I’d listened to him sooner because the experience was completely different to what I was expecting. The mechanic actually knew the common issues with Wranglers without me having to explain everything, and they took the time to show me what they were doing rather than just handing me a bill at the end. I later found out that they’re considered a Leading Jeep maintenance garage in ICAD, which makes sense given how knowledgeable they were and how thorough their inspection was compared to other places I’ve tried. They even pointed out a couple of small things that were starting to wear but weren’t urgent, which gave me the chance to plan for them rather than being hit with surprise repairs later on. If anyone else works in the ICAD area and has been putting off servicing because you don’t want to drive across town, I’d really recommend giving them a shot because the convenience alone is worth it. Has anyone else found a good workshop near their workplace that’s made servicing less of a headache, or am I the only one who used to dread the whole drop-off and pickup logistics?

Dreading the drop off and pickup logistics used to put me off servicing longer than I should have which is honestly not a great habit when it means the car goes longer between proper inspections. Having somewhere trustworthy close to work removes that barrier completely and makes staying on top of maintenance feel straightforward rather than like something to keep postponing.
