TruthTawk Policy on Hatred, Harassment, Sexual Content, and Impersonation

At TruthTawk, we believe that open dialogue is essential to a thriving community. However, with that right comes the responsibility to maintain a respectful and safe environment for all users. Our policy on hatred, harassment, sexual content, and impersonation outlines our commitment to these principles and the standards users are expected to uphold while engaging on our platform.

1. Hatred and Discrimination

Hatred and discrimination undermine the foundations of a respectful community. Accordingly, TruthTawk prohibits any content that:

  • Promotes Hate: This includes hate speech, which is defined as any communication that belittles, incites violence, or otherwise promotes animosity against individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

  • Encourages Violence: Any calls to action that advocate for violence or encourage harm against others due to their identity or beliefs will be strictly forbidden. This includes threats of physical harm or the glorification of violent acts against marginalized groups.

  • Fosters Intolerance: Content that expresses contempt or disdain for particular communities, ideologies, or beliefs—beyond constructive criticism—will be subject to review and potential removal from the platform.

Enforcement Measures:
Violations of this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the offense. Repeated violations will lead to escalated consequences.

2. Harassment

TruthTawk has a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment. Our definition of harassment encompasses a wide range of behaviors, including but not limited to:

  • Verbal Abuse: Insults, threats, or derogatory comments directed at individuals that can create a hostile environment.

  • Stalking: Unwanted and persistent attention toward another user, either online or offline, including excessive messaging or monitoring of someone’s activities.

  • Targeted Attacks: Coordinated efforts to discredit, intimidate, or harm individuals based on their identity, views, or past activities on the platform.

  • Public Shaming: Content that seeks to embarrass or humiliate another user, particularly when it is aimed at unique identities or personal attributes.

  • Doxxing: The practice of publicly revealing personal and private information about someone without their consent will not be tolerated.

Reporting and Response:
Users who experience or witness harassment are encouraged to report the behavior immediately via our reporting tools. Each report will be investigated thoroughly, and appropriate actions will be taken to protect users from harassment, intolerance, and intimidation.

3. Sexual Content

TruthTawk prioritizes user safety and will not tolerate any sexual content that:

  • Objectifies Individuals: Content that dehumanizes individuals through sexual objectification or commodification will be removed. This includes discussions or images that reduce individuals to their sexual attributes.

  • Promotes Exploitation: TruthTawk strictly prohibits any material related to sexual exploitation, trafficking, or the sharing of non-consensual explicit content.

  • Involves Non-Consensual Activities: Any content that depicts or discusses sexual acts without clear consent from all parties involved is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate removal.

  • Sexual Harassment: Unsolicited personal comments, messages, or advances that hinge upon sexual themes or insinuations toward other users will be considered harassment.

Safe Environment Commitment:
To maintain a safe online environment, TruthTawk will actively monitor content for compliance, and any violation of these guidelines will lead to removal of the offending content and potential disciplinary actions, including account suspension.

4. Impersonation and Identity Theft

TruthTawk takes impersonation and identity theft seriously, as these actions can deeply harm users and the integrity of our community. The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:

  • Impersonation: Creating an account or profile that misrepresents your identity, including pretending to be another user, public figure, or organization, is not allowed. This includes using someone else’s name, likeness, or image to deceive others.

  • Identity Theft: Unauthorized use of another individual’s personal information for malicious purposes, such as accessing their account, gaining benefits, or causing harm, will not be tolerated. This includes using someone else’s pictures, personal details, or social media profiles without their consent.

  • Phishing Attempts: Attempting to obtain sensitive information from other users by posing as a trustworthy entity or individual is prohibited. This includes sending messages that trick users into providing personal data, passwords, or financial information.

Consequences:
Any user found to be engaging in impersonation or identity theft will face immediate repercussions, including content removal, suspension, or permanent banning from the platform. TruthTawk is.

5. Appealing Content Removal

At TruthTawk, we understand that mistakes can happen, and users may wish to contest the removal of their content. Therefore, we provide a fair and transparent process for appealing any content removal decision.

Process for Appealing Content Removal:

  1. Notification of Removal: Users will receive a notification via email and/or on-platform messaging if their content is removed for violating community guidelines. This notification will include details about the reason for the removal and the specific policy violated.

  2. Submit an Appeal:

    • Users wishing to appeal the removal should submit their appeal through the designated Appeal Form available on the TruthTawk website.
    • The appeal must include the following information:
      • User Information: Your username and email address associated with your account.
      • Content Details: A description of the removed content, including links or references to the content if available.
      • Reason for Appeal: A clear explanation of why you believe the content should not have been removed, including any relevant context or additional information that may not have been considered during the initial review.
  3. Submission Deadline: Appeals must be submitted within 14 days of receiving the content removal notification. Any appeals submitted after this period will not be considered.

  4. Review Process: Upon receiving the appeal, the TruthTawk moderation team will conduct a thorough review of the case. This includes reviewing the original content, the reason for removal, and any additional context provided in the appeal.

  5. Response to Appeal:

    • Users will receive a response to their appeal within 7-14 business days of submission. The response will include the decision regarding the appeal, along with a brief explanation.
    • If the appeal is approved, the content will be reinstated. If the appeal is denied, the reasons for upholding the removal will be clearly communicated.
  6. Final Decision: If an appeal is denied after the 14-business-day review period, the decision made by the moderation team will be considered final. Users may not submit multiple appeals for the same content removal; however, they can appeal different content removals as they occur.

  7. Outcome After Appeal Denial:

    • If your appeal is denied, any restrictions or penalties (such as account suspension) related to the removal may remain in effect.
    • Users are encouraged to review their content to ensure future compliance with community guidelines.

Support for Users: For any questions regarding the appeal process or if assistance is needed, users can reach out to TruthTawk support via the Help Center.
